Off the back that’s a lot of processing power which is something I would expect from a big desktop like this it should definitely be able to get your regular everyday task done using this type of equipment. It also comes with 8 GB of RAM so if you’re into running the programs like Reasons or your a audio guy and you like to run ProTools, eight gigs defiantly will get you there. You probably should be able to run these big software programs and surf the web at the same time. It has a 1024 GB hard drive, that's like saying it has a terabyte +24 gigs so you almost have a lifetime of space basically.Unless you’re running some sort of hosting service this desktop definitely should have enough memory for you. It also includes Intel HD so things should come in incredibly clear shouldn’t have to worry about any image problems because the graphics card in this thing is pretty decent. It uses a Windows 8 operating system which at first a lot of people were skeptical about, but the people are defiantly starting warm-up to it. Windows 8 is very simple it’s bright and its extensive which is the main thing you need when running a operating system. This unit is 15.8 pounds slightly heavy but this is a example of the hardwares power. This thing has four USB 2.0 ports and it also has two USB 3.0 ports. Overall this seems to be a great piece of equipment I know people are shying away from desktops because of tablets and laptops but if your a workstation guy, because you like to use big heavy software programs, then you definitely see the value in having a big desktop like this. Overall I think I’m going to give the HP Pavilion 500 500-070 Desktop (Black) a 9 1/2 out of 10.
